HAZID Study: Hazard studies are performed by the HAZID method based on valid standards such as ISO 17776 and SHELL Design practice. Through the process, all the keywords in the standard are used. The method is that first, based on the plan of the unit under study, different sub-sections are determined and by using keywords in each section, different risks are examined and relevant solutions are proposed. In addition, qualitative risk assessment is used in HAZID studies, and this study is performed in such a way that all parts of the process are examined in full detail.
HAZOP Study: HAZOP studies, which have a long history in Arya Imen Tadbir Consulting Engineering Company, use the IEC-61882 standard in all stages. These studies are performed to identify potential process hazards and are based on classifications on PID maps. These studies can accurately identify the hazards within the system that make the design problematic and provide solutions. These studies are conducted by expert groups, and finally, complete reports including a description of activities, maps, suggestions, and worksheets are presented.
SIL Study: One way to reduce the hazard risk is to increase the performance of safety instrumentation systems (SIS). SIL allocation studies include risk assessment and determining the level of safety integration in accordance with conventional standards for safety systems or ESD systems. This would be done through meetings with experts from each project and a group leader who is experienced. In conclusion, a comprehensive and separate report of the studies conducted along with the method and assumptions of the study is provided by the consultant, including SIL worksheets and lists of suggestions.
